Hammer mill manufacturer
At IQR we design, manufacture and sell hammer mills (also called hammer crushers), industrial shredders and waste grinders. The hammer mills weight between 13-45 tonnes and can crush up to 100 tonnes of waste per hour. The waste can be anything from municipal solid waste (MSW) and industrial waste to railway sleepers and telephone poles. Most of the time, the crushed waste is thereafter used as refuse-derived fuel (RDF) in an incineration plant.
The hammer mills are most of the time delivered as a part of a complete fuel preparation plant (often called waste-to-energy plant), where conveyors, ferrous separators and screeners also can be included. The mills are built in Sweden, where we have extensive knowledge and a long tradition of turning waste into energy. In Sweden, we are the ones who have built the most waste-to-energy plants. Our famous hammer mills and shredders can be found all over the world and every year more than 1,000,000 tonnes of waste are crushed by an IQR mill. Read more.

Biomass gasifiers
Crushed waste is often used as refuse-derived fuel in an incineration plant where the waste's energy can be transformed into heat and/or electricity. The first step in this process is called gasification. Our gasification unit, SFC – Soot Free Combustion, allows a very fuel flexible and regulable gasification and combustion, with very low emissions. The SFC unit is installed at Svenljunga Energy (to produce steam and district heating) as well as Munkfors Energy (CHP plant). Read more.

Railway demolishion
IQR started their business by gathering up worn out railway sleepers, and we still still do. We deliver a turnkey solution where either worn out sleepers are replaced or a whole railway strech is demolished. We work throughout Europe and make sure that the worn out sleepers are recycled in the best possible way.

Waste and sleepers disposal
We gather sleepers, industrial waste and hazardous waste from all over Europe, making sure the waste is taken care of in the most environmentally friendly way. Through crushing och fragmentation, recycable materials are recycled while non-recyclable materials are use as recycle-derived fuel in our own or a customer's incineration plant. Read more.

Waste crushing
We do not only design, manufacture and sell machines and plants for waste crushing, we also run our own waste-to-energy plants. Our plant in Trollhättan is where worn out sleepers are shipped for fragmentation and recycling. In Borås, we crush municipal solid waste (MSW) and industrial waste into recycle-derived fuel that is used in the nearby CHP plant. Nothing goes to waste. Read more.
Mobile crushers can also be leased for shorter assignments. This means that we crush the waste onsite into the desired fractions and sizes.

Incineration plant
We have our own incineration plantthat provide industries and citizens with process steam and district heating, respectively, in Svenljunga, Sweden. Here you will also find our biomass gasifier, SFC, and it is here that our gasification technology has been devoloped and refined to the level it is at today. Read more.
